Janella Salvador, Markus Paterson reunite for son Jude’s birthday
Former couple Janella Salvador and Markus Paterson posed in a family photo during their son’s third birthday celebration on Saturday.
Markus shared some snaps from Jude’s arcade party, including one that showed him and Janella with big smiles while holding their son. The caption wrote: “Celebrating you, Jude.”
Janella also penned a short birthday message for her son on Instagram, along with a throwback baby photo of Jude.
“I blinked and suddenly I'm the mom of a 3-year-old,” she said.
She further describes Jude as a “delightful, charming, goofy, intelligent, curious and talkative sunshine of a human being” and promises him that she will always be his number one fan.
"I could go on and on with the adjectives… but hopefully we have an entire lifetime to show you that i’ll always be your #1 fan. Happy birthday, son," she wrote.
Similarly, Markus posted a separate birthday greeting for his son on his account.
“You make every part of my life better, and you don’t even know it yet. Happy birthday, my son. You’re 3,” the caption said.
Janella and Markus welcomed Jude into the world in October 2020 in the United Kingdom. Rumors about their split started after Janella referred to herself as a “single mom” in an interview with Bernadette Sembrano. Later, the break-up was confirmed by Markus in September 2022.
Despite their separation, the couple remained committed to being present in the milestones of their son, including his second birthday and baptism last year.
In his recent interview with Ogie Diaz this year, Markus said the split happened due to their frequent fights, which led them to decide that breaking up was the better option to avoid raising their son in an unhealthy household. Despite this, he clarified that they are really good friends now and referred to their relationship as the “best one” he’s ever had.
