Kim Kardashian reveals she gives her four kids the same birthday gift every year

Kim Kardashian surprises her children with the same gift on their birthdays each year.

In the latest episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, the reality TV star talked about how “fun” it is to pen a lengthy letter for her kids on their special days year after year. “One of ‘em is almost 10 years old, and I know that they’ll appreciate this.” 

According to Kim, the letters provide a summary of her child’s year, covering “who their friends are, silly words they’re saying, their favorite foods, all the silly things they do, and a little journey of what the year is like.” 

“I know that they’ll appreciate everything, even if they might have thought I was being a little harsh on them. I know that they’ll get it because I got it with my mom. I know they’ll get it with me,” she said. 

The 42-year-old star previously opened up about her parenting struggles on the same podcast, saying that there are times when she cries herself to sleep. 

"There are nights I cry myself to sleep. [W]ith all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they're fighting, and there's no one there, it's just me to play good police officer and bad cop," she said. 

She is, after all, proud of herself for how far she’s come as a parent to her four children. 

"It is the most rewarding job in the entire world. It is. There is nothing that can prepare you. I don't care how long you wait. I don't care what you're waiting for. You are never prepared. But, you will figure it out, and it will make you so proud of yourself that you figured it out and that you got through the day," she continued. 

Kim shares two daughters (9-year-old North and 5-year-old Chicago) and two songs (7-year-old Saint and 4-year-old Psalm) with her ex-husband Kanye West. The former couple began dating in 2011 and tied the knot in 2014. They had a falling out in the middle of their marriage and finalized their divorce in 2022.
