SB19 continues to make waves in the international music scene as the Pinoy boyband just broke the record for most weeks spent on the number one spot of Billboard’s Hot Trending chart.

Since its music video release in October 2021, the five-piece group’s Bazinga has taken over the record set by Korean boyband BTS’ Butter, which spent six weeks on the number one spot.

The lead single from SB19’s Pagsibol EP has raked in 9.3 million mentions on Twitter as of its Jan. 15-22 tracking. The song’s position on the chart was preceded by the group’s performances in the 34th Awit Awards in November, virtual New Year’s Eve music festival BYE2021, and ASEAN-Korea ROUND virtual music festival last Jan. 9.

Powered by Twitter and sponsored by American full-service bank Capital One, Billboard’s Hot Trending chart positions are determined by 20 most mentioned music-related trends on the microblogging platform within a 24-hour or seven-day period.

The said chart only considers tweets talking about an artist’s music releases, award shows, festival appearances, and more, and does not include album sales nor music streams.

Meanwhile on YouTube, ‘Bazinga’ has 4,128,695 views as of writing.

SB19 also dropped their new single with Korean singer Ohwon Lee titled Real Recognize Real on Jan. 25 on music streaming platforms such as Spotify.
