Warning: This article contains mentions of sexual abuse.

Event host Bianca Valero commemorated the day she spoke about the sexual assault she experienced two years ago.

In an Instagram post on March 31, Valerio uploaded a video containing excerpts of her March 2022 video detailing her grueling experience.

“Last June 23, 2021, I was sexually assaulted by a male individual. He was one of the guests at an intimate private party I was hired to host for,” Valerio said, noting that the man wasn’t invited in the first place. “For exactly these same reasons, I am speaking up today.”

In an update, the video then showed a photo of her submitting her sworn statement before the police.

“I did my part…,” a text in the video read. “Report the crime… Lawyer up with the best.”

“Use my platform to warn the public (within my legal limitations),” the text further read.

“I kept begging and begging and begging you. Why are you doing this? Please don’t do this,” Valero said in the 2022 video, as her voice cracked while she was holding back tears. “Please stop. Please don’t do this.”

A montage of news reports regarding the incident also flashed on the screen.

The new video then showed candid clips of Valerio, noting how she addressed her mental and emotional health even as she deepened her spiritual life and created a home “so instrumental to my healing.”

It also showed her speaking about the assault in public, noting how she found purpose in her pain.

“When we tell ourselves to keep the peace, to be silent about our truths, we betray ourselves,” she said.

Another text flashed, which read, “And while God is orchestrating Divine Justice through me, you may ask, ‘In three years, what have the clients & guests done to help put him in jail?’”

The video then showed a screenshot of an online publication’s opinion piece which states how people who kept silent about her case failed her.

“ABSOLUTELY NOTHING,” another text read, in response to the question she posed.

“God didn’t get me this far to only get me this far,” it continued, showing a clip of Valerio in front of a church. “You can only hide for so long.”

The video concluded with a text: “The Truth Always Comes Out.”

In the 2022 video, Valerio said her abuser is a public relations practitioner, noting he even offered her illegal drugs. The man, she alleged, also manipulated her, isolated her, and physically hurt her.
