Attention, Sooyas: BLACKPINK's Jisoo drops first solo album 'ME'

It's finally here, Sooyas! BLACKPINK's Jisoo has officially stepped into her soloist era with the launch of her first solo album, ME, on March 31.

It was launched two weeks since the K-pop idol began teasing her two-song project with visual films, posters, and live countdown, among others.

The 28 year-old singer's first EP features two tracks—FLOWER and All Eyes on Me—which can now be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music

FLOWER comes with a snappy beats and melancholic lyrics that talk about finally "flying away like a white petal" from a relationship that was "cruelly tramples" and "crimsonly burned down."

Jisoo showed BLINKs why the track could likley be your next favorite dance song, with its stylized choregraphy that the idol performed on the track's music video released on the same day as her album.

In a statement released to South Korean media outlets last February, YG Entertainment said Jisoo's FLOWER MV is one that fans should "look forward to" as it has "the largest production cost ever among BLACKPINK videos." At that time, it was "being filmed in an overseas location in strict secrecy."

Meanwhile, All Eyes on Me is a more upbeat track that starts with candy pop tunes that transitions into synthpop. As the title suggests, Jisoo uses the song to demand a lover to give her his full attention so she could "feel alive" and to keep their fire burning.

Jisoo is the fourth and last BLACKPINK member to make her solo debut following Lisa's LALISA and Rosé's R in 2021, as well as Jennie's Solo in 2018.

The K-pop idol and her fellow BLACKPINK members were in the Philippines last March 25 and 26 for their Born Pink concert held at the Philippine Sports Arena in Bulacan.
