Alden Richards addresses Maine Mendoza rumors anew: 'We never got married, we don't have a love child'

Alden Richards asserted once again that he and Maine Mendoza “never got married” nor have a love child together.

The 32-year-old actor-director addressed the long-circulating “crazy rumors” about his previous love team stint with Maine known as AlDub on Toni Gonzaga’s vlog

Toni asked how he deals with rumors, especially when fans have narratives about how they truly believe in their relationship behind the camera.

“Meron silang sariling storytelling,” he shared. “All along, akala ko by the time na Maine and Arjo Atayde became public and then thet got married [mawawala na ang rumors] pero nandyan pa rin. I already said my piece about this. Wala pong katotohanan lahat.”

“Wala po kaming anak. We never got married. We don’t have a love child,” he stressed.

While the long-running rumors do not seem to end despite addressing and clarifying everything, The Family of Two star added he also considers what their fans would feel, saying that he “supports" their happiness.

“But I’m at that point na masaya po sila doon eh. Tatanggalin ko pa ba? Ira-rub ko pa ba sa mga buhay na ‘Wala nga, wag kayong makulit,’ I’m not that kind of person,” he said. “I always support happiness of people.”

He also revealed that he and Maine had a “heart-to-heart” talk before the latter married Arjo Atayde in July 2023. Without spilling details, he said that he “told her everything.”

“At the end of the day, it’s your differences that will determine whether you’ll make it or not, and your priorities in life,” he said.

Alden had previously debunked the same rumors on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda in January and his interview with Ogie Diaz in May 2023, stressing that he is “really happy” for Maine and asked fans to give respect to her personal life, especially with her relationship with Arjo.

Meanwhile, Maine admitted in November 2022 that she got tired of addressing and clarifying the rumors about her alleged real-life romance with the Hello Love Goodbye star.

Alden and Maine were known for their phenomenal love team AlDub, which rose to fame in 2015 at the noontime show Eat Bulaga!

Maine got married to her longtime beau Arjo in July 2023; meanwhile, Alden is single and busy with his acting career.
