NCT's Taeil is taking a break after getting injured in a motorcycle accident, according to his agency SM Entertainment.

In a statement sent to Korean entertainment website Soompi, SM Entertainment said that the vocalist sustained a fracture on his right thigh from an accident on Tuesday morning.

"In the early morning of today (August 15), Taeil was on his way home on his motorcycle after finishing his schedule when he was involved in an accident. He immediately visited a hospital for a detailed examination and treatment," the statement read.

"As a result of the examination, he was diagnosed with a fracture in his right thigh and he received medical advice that surgery was necessary," it added.

The  29-year-old singer is currently in "stable condition" and "receiving the necessary treatment at the hospital ahead of the surgery."

SM also said that Taeil will not participate in any activities, including the group's first-ever in-person concert NCT Nation: To The World, set to take place on August 26 at Incheon Munhak Stadium.

"As a result, Taeil will temporarily suspend his activities and focus on treatment and recovery, and will not be able to participate in the NCT group concert ‘NCT NATION: To The World’ on August 26. We ask for your kind understanding," SM said.

Meanwhile, the group is expected to make a comeback on August 28 with their fourth album, Golden Age.

The group's 20 members—who have been performing as NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV subunits—are all included in their upcoming album Golden Age.

It will feature a total of 10 tracks, including the double title songs Baggy Jeans and Golden Age, which will be performed by Taeyong, Ten, Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Mark.
