Awra Briguela has made her social media comeback over a month since she got into a brawl at a bar in Poblacion in Makati that led to her arrest.

On both her Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts, the comedian made her presence known online as she shared a poster for her upcoming series Comedy Island Philippines on Prime Video, where she will star alongside Carlo Aquino, Rufa Mae Quinto, Andrea Brillantes, Jerald Napoles, Cai Cortez, Justine Luzares, and Drew Arellano.

Comprising six episodes, the series will follow the celebrities as they are washed up on the shore of the mysterious Tawa-Tawa Island, which resurfaces after 100 years to commence the fictional 'Centennial Games.' They must now compete in these games to survive and escape the island.

Awra had limited the comments section on both her posts, and she has also made no mention of the incident that happened on early June 29.

The incident started when she and her friends were at a despedida party and had gotten into a disagreement with a man, who alleged that Awra approached his group and asked him to take off his shirt. When he wouldn't comply, the comedian allegedly tried to force him to remove his shirt, and that's when things started messing up.

However, Awra's friend, Zayla Nakajima—in a now-deleted post on Facebook and Instagram Story—had a different take on the incident, saying that Awra was only protecting her and their other friend, who were said to be sexually harassed by a group of men inside the bar.

While the local star was put behind bars for several days, the executive judge at the Makati Regional Trial Court eventually granted the actress a release order after she posted a P6,000 bail.

She is facing charges of physical injuries, alarm and scandal, direct assault, and disobedience to a person in authority. Her management has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
