LOOK: OneRepublic goes on a night out in Makati's Poblacion after concert

It seems like OneRepublic is enjoying their free time in Manila. After their successful concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the American pop-rock band went out for drinks in Poblacion, Makati.

On the evening of February 23, lead singer Ryan Tedder has treated his fans to a glimpse of their Makati excursion, captioning one of his Instagram Stories: "Manila nights."

The band then stopped by the Element Boutique Hotel before heading to Run Rabbit Run along P. Guanzon St.

Ryan also shared a few more Instagram Stories at the cocktail bar, where he, together with photographer Brody Harper and fellow member Ashley Clark, had fancy drinks by the bar.

In the next Story, Ryan posted a video of a bottle of San Miguel Pale Pilsen taken from what seems to be along Kalayaan Ave. He captioned it: "When in the Philippines," tagging the beer company.

The following day, Ryan teased that the band is filming a music video in Manila by sharing a video of the members coming out from a jeepney.

During the concert, Ryan, on behalf of the band, expressed his admiration to their Filipino fans, saying Filipinos know "music better than any country in the world."

"I've had family, my cousins and uncles have lived here for the last 30, 40 years. And they all they do is brag about how beautiful it is here and how beautiful people are here. And they've told me my entire lifetime, nobody sings better than the Philippines," he said.

And this was proven when OneRepublic asked the concertgoers to sing along with them to Apologize, turning the whole arena into a massive choir.

Ryan also became a little sentimental talking about their return to the Big Dome,—the same venue of OneRepublic's first-ever visit to the Manila in 2013—calling it a "sacred place."

"This building has a lot of history, obviously, you know, the history of this building. So it's a sacred place," he said.

He furthered, "You can look this up on the internet. People ask [us] in interviews: 'What country loves music the most?' I always say the Philippines. You guys feel music unlike any country on Earth. You can sing better than everybody. I mean this."

Before the band performed their last song If I Lose Myself, Ryan expressed his wishes to hold a concert for more than one night in Manila.

“It’d be a dream to perform here two to three nights in a row, even better," Ryan said. "But until then, we’ll keep putting out the music and you keep listening.”

This is OneRepublic's third time in the country. They previously held a concert in Manila in 2013 and headlined the MTV Music Evolution Manila in 2016.
