Imagine being labelmates with EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, or Aespa? A dream come true.

South Korean entertainment agency SM Entertainment has announced that it’s opening its doors to aspiring K-pop idols through their “2022 SM Global Audition KWANGYA.”

The global auditions are open to aspiring K-pop stars, regardless of their nationality or gender. However, only those who are born between 2003 and 2011 are eligible to apply. The application period starts from Jan. 31 and will end on Feb. 20.

Applicants are required to fill out an application form located on SM Entertainment’s website where they have to submit an unedited self-portrait and a video showcasing their talents in singing, dancing, rapping, or acting.

Participants are free to choose among the four aforementioned categories, but they’re free to show other skills that could highlight their potential as K-pop idols.

Those who make it through SM’s initial virtual screening will make it to the second round of auditions which will reportedly be held offline.

Applicants who make it through the receipt, first and second online qualifiers, and final pass will have the opportunity to sign an exclusive contract with SM Entertainment.

SM Entertainment is known as one of the “big four” entertainment companies in South Korea and one of the pioneers of the Hallyu or Korean wave movement.

The entertainment agency is the home of popular K-pop acts like H.O.T., S.E.S, Boa, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, and Aespa.
