Tracy Maureen Perez concluded her journey to the highly coveted Miss World crown in the Top 12.

The Philippine bet, who was among the finalists for the Beauty with a Purpose Challenge, managed to make it to the Top 12 but was not able to enter the Top 6 of the pageant. This makes 2013 titleholder Megan Young remain as the only Miss World winner from the country.

Perez is no stranger to the pageant scene, having joined Miss Cebu 2016 (where she won second runner-up), Binibining Cebu 2017 (where she finished Top 6), and Binibining Cebu 2018 (where she was named Binibining Cebu Charity).

She first tried her luck at Miss World Philippines in 2019 but her journey was cut short with a Top 12 finish.

She competed in the Miss Universe Philippines a year later, where she bagged special awards like Best in Swimsuit and Miss Photogenic. The Cebuana beauty, however, only made it to the Top 16.

Finally, she was named Miss World Philippines in 2021 and represented the country at the 70th Miss World held on Thursday, Mar. 17 (Philippine time) in Puerto Rico.

Karolina Bielawska of Poland was crowned Miss World, followed by first runner-up Shree Saini (United States) and second runner-up Olivia Yace of Cote d’Ivoire.

Other candidates who bagged special awards were Miss Mongolia (Best in Talent), Miss Vietnam who won the Digital Media Challenge, and Miss USA who won the Beauty with a Purpose Challenge.
