From reel life to real life? Another Korean actor is going to enlist in the military soon.

Nam Joo Hyuk, from the hit K-drama Start Up, will soon be serving in the Korean military, as confirmed by his agency, Management SOOP.

According to a statement dated January 31, Joo Hyuk has received the acceptance notice for the military police task. He plans to enlist with the Military Police Corps on March 20, 2023.

Joo Hyuk will first be undergoing basic military training for 5 weeks before serving as a military officer. He will serve between 18 to 20 weeks, depending on his assignment.

In December, Management SOOP said that the actor has finished filming for his upcoming Disney+ original series Vigilante, which is about Ji Yong, a student at a police university by day and a vigilante at night.

Vigilante is set to release in the first half of 2023.
