Dimples Romana-Ahmee proved that distance can't stop a mother's love as she gave a surprise visit to her 18-year-old daughter Callie, who is currently in Australia studying to be a pilot.

On her Instagram account, Romana shared a short video of her tearful reunion with Callie, where she was shown visiting her pilot training academy and giving her a bouquet of flowers as well as a tight hug.

She wrote in her caption, "Callie Ahmee is my first born, my rock, my anchor. And ever since she left for college and stayed here in Australia, I’ve been having bad homesickness from not seeing her plus terrible post partum blues pa. [My husband] Boyet Ahmee knows this. Ganito din ako nun kay Alonzo. But he’s so good at handling my post partum blues for me."

Romana shared that because she had a lot on her plate recently—with her second child Alonzo going off into a big school and her giving birth to her new bundle of joy Elio three weeks ago—she couldn't find time to visit Callie.

"But the Lord knows how my heart yearns to be with her. And He has heard my silent prayers," Romana wrote.

The actress faced problems in trying to visit Callie. She shared that her husband's visa got delayed and that's why she had to fly first because her daughter was scheduled to have her first piloting session soon.

"We decided that I fly first, (but of course I cannot stay long, leaving na din in a few days for my boys), but ultimately, we didn’t want Ate to feel that, just because a lot of things have been happening in Manila for our new family set up, that she wasn’t a priority anymore and that we can’t be there for her just the same way we’ve always been when she was little up until the time she left for college," Romana wrote.

She also said that as the eldest sibling in her family, she knows the hardships of prioritizing the youngest, and so as a parent, she wanted all of her children to feel that they were special.

"Lagi ko kasing iniisip na baka mas kailangan ng mga kapatid ko. Hindi pa man din nagsasalita itong anak namin to. She’d rather keep it to herself than tell us she needs us. Napakabait. So here’s Boyet Ahmee and I making sure that ALL our children, regardless of age, milestones and locations, would ever feel they’re any less valued than their other siblings," she ended.
