When married couples want the whole world to know that they are about to welcome a bundle of joy, they typically post a picture of a pregnancy test or an ultrasound. But Kris Bernal and her husband Perry Choi decided to take on a unique and hilarious approach by doing a movie-themed maternity photoshoot.

The couple announced that they are now going to be first-time parents through Instagram. In the first movie-themed maternity shot, titled "When Two Become Three," Kris said that they weren’t really "trying" for a baby, but it looked like fate has other plans for them.

"I can still remember how I felt a rush of different emotions when the test showed two lines. I already had a suspicion weeks prior to finding out the good news, but I was able to confirm it when something happened," Kris wrote.

In the second movie poster, which depicted a funny scene of Kris putting on make-up while Perry is the one who is seemingly going through morning sickness, Kris talked about her experience with nausea and vomiting.

"I’ve been trying to mimic or portray this kind of feeling in some of my TV roles and scenes! And, it was way different! Bad acting, KB!" the actress joked.

She went on, "I haven’t experienced anything like this before and I feel like a stranger in my own body. Is it really like this momSHEs? It’s a miracle that I was able to keep up appearances at work and with friends without anyone knowing what was going on! Good acting, KB!"

In their last adorable snap, which showed the two of them hanging their baby's clothes and preparing their game plan as soon-to-be parents, Kris took the time to write an appreciation message for her non-showbiz partner.

"He put up with all my crazy mood swings, reminds me of the do's and don’ts of my doctor, makes sure I take my medicines on time, and the list goes on!" Kris wrote, sharing that Perry has been very hands-on in taking care of her.

"Perry, you have what it takes to welcome parenthood! You’ll def nail this whole dad thing! Tune in to my YouTube channel as we share more about this new chapter of our lives!" she added.

Kris and Perry got engaged in February 2020 before finally taking their relationship to the altar in September 2021.
