Heart Evangelista shuts down breakup rumors with Chiz Escudero with New Year's Eve reunion
Heart Evangelista is bidding negativity adieu in 2023.
The actress and socialite quashed breakup rumors with her husband Chiz Escudero after posting a photo of their most talked about reunion on the night of Dec. 30, 2022.
"Happy 2023," Heart wrote in the caption of her post along with a party, red envelope, and heart hands emojis.
Apart from her photo with Chiz and his two children Joaquin and Ma. Cecilia, Heart also shared a picture of her and the politician while holding hands.
Heart's post came four days after the fashion icon posted a video of herself strutting the streets of Paris, with the caption, "Living between 2 worlds Paris and Manila.Walking around Paris before heading home for New Year," and then adding, "See you soon, Chiz Escudero."
Her post made the round online, as it hinted that she and her husband are still on good terms amid rumors that the two have called it quits.
The couple was last seen together at the GMA Thanksgiving Gala Night held last July 31.
A week later, on Aug. 8, netizens began speculating that Heart and Chiz have broken up as the actress dropped her husband's surname from her Instagram profile.
Netizens became more intrigued when the actress published a vlog on Sept. 2 wherein she revealed she was going through "personal stuff."
On Oct. 2, Heart also updated her Instagram followers about her purchase of an apartment. However, as the actress stated in her latest post, she stressed that she's merely working in Paris and not moving there for good.
She explained, “No, I’m not living here. I have work here and I have work in the Philippines and kailangan natin ng work because you know, you gotta be independent to pay for your stuff without hingi-hingi ng anik-anik. So kailangan super work tayo. I’m a working girl."
