Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin’s agencies respond to divorce rumors, alleged gambling addiction
Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are taking legal action against false news about their marriage.
According to Korean news outlet Soompi, a YouTuber uploaded a malicious vlog about BinJin’s marriage, originally titled Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin divorce in six months of marriage... Shocking!
In the video, the uploader claims that the couple has divorced following Hyun Bin's alleged gambling habit. The vlogger also said that Ye Jin suffered a financial loss due to it.
On March 20, Hyun Bin’s agency VAST Entertainment refuted the malicious news, saying that the claims were baseless.
“[The YouTuber’s claims are] groundless. It is fake news. We are constantly monitoring the rumors. We plan to take legal action after an internal review.”
This was also echoed by MSteam Entertainment: “This is obviously fake news. We are constantly monitoring [the situation] internally, and we have already requested YouTube to delete the video. We will take strong measures, and we also plan to take legal action in relation to the content [of the video].”
The two first worked together in action-thriller The Negotiation in 2018 and starred in the romantic-comedy TV series the first time in Crash Landing On You.
Son Ye Jin first confirmed that they are dating on New Year’s Day in 2021. The two got engaged a year after in February 2022 and officially tied the knot in March of the same year. They welcomed their first child in November.
