Miss Philippines Earth is now accepting applicants for 2023 pageant

Did the recently concluded 71st Miss Universe tilt fuel your dream of taking part in a prestigious beauty pageant?

The Miss Philippines Earth organization recently announced that the search is now on for the next Filipina eco-beauty who will represent the country at the 2023 Miss Earth competition.

“Calling all the beautiful aspiring Filipina eco-beauties. #MissPhilippinesEarth is now accepting applicants,” they wrote in a Facebook post published on Jan. 13. 

If you strongly advocate for the environment and want to bring your passion to a bigger stage as a beauty queen, why don’t you give the Miss Philippines Earth a try? The qualifications include the following:

  • 18-25 years of age
  • Filipino citizen
  • Minimum of 5’4” in height
  • Must possess beauty of face and figure
  • Has environmental awareness

The Miss Philippines Earth is a beauty event that puts the spotlight on women who “actively promote and get involved in the preservation of the environment and the protection of Mother Earth.” The five titleholders will be ambassadors of various environmental protection campaigns across the country. The top winner will represent the Philippines at the Miss Earth tilt. 

Jenny Ramp of Tarlac City was crowned Miss Philippines Earth in its 2022 edition, followed by Jimena Tempra of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental (Miss Philippines Air), Angel Santos of Trece Martires City (Miss Philippines Water), Eryka Tan of Legazpi City (Miss Philippines Fire), and Nice Lampad of Bayugan City (Miss Philippines Ecotourism).

Ramp finished in the Top 20 of the Miss Earth 2022 pageant.
