Jinni is no longer part of K-pop girl group NMIXX and JYP Entertainment.

In a statement, the agency said that the K-pop idol is leaving the group and company "due to personal circumstances."

"Jinni, who has been a member of NMIXX up until now, will be leaving the group due to personal circumstances, and her exclusive contract has been terminated. We apologize for giving many fans cause for concern with this sudden news," the statement read.

It added that NMIXX will continue as a six-member group with Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin as its members.

"We ask that you give lots of encouragement to Jinni, who will be walking a new path, and we also ask that NSWER [NMIXX’s fans] give their warm support to the six members who will continue to grow and race towards their dreams," JYPE said.

Jinni first joined JYPE in 2016. She appeared in the music video for 2PM Nichkhun‘s Lucky Charm.

JYPE first introduced NMIXX in January of this year. They released a single album, Ad Mare, the following month and performed internationally for KCON 2022 Premier in Chicago.

In September, they released another single album called Entwurf, featuring the track Dice. Just two weeks ago, they released their holiday song, Funky Glitter Christmas.
