Carat confirmed: Kuya Kim Atienza fanboys over Seventeen, dances to ‘Hot’ on TV
Who knew Kuya Kim is a Carat at heart?
TV anchor Kuya Kim Atienza caught the attention of netizens after he showed his admiration for K-pop boy group Seventeen on social media.
Atienza’s fanboying started when he changed his Facebook profile picture to a screenshot of Seventeen’s Wonwoo from the music video of their track Hot on Saturday, June 4.
The post gained over 108,000 reactions, 13,000 comments, and 26,000 shares, as of this writing.
Atienza also shared the same screengrab of Wonwoo on his Twitter account on the same day. “Happy weekend, kimsahanmidaaaaa,” he wrote.

Atienza caught the attention of Seventeen’s fans, also known as Carat, on social media after fanboying over the boy group. Twitter user @KyeomHyukee even challenged him to dance to Hot on TV.

Atienza continued to show his love for Seventeen by posting excerpts from Hot and replying to Carats on social media.

The TV anchor eventually granted the request of Carats as did a short cover of Hot on GTV’s Dapat Alam Mo! show on Monday, June 16. The program even showed videos of Seventeen members Wonwoo, Jeonghan, Hoshi, and Seungkwan and ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon dancing along to the song on Tiktok.
