KC Concepcion revealed she had a brain-related health scare after getting infected with the coronavirus.

In her Instagram stories, the actress said that the COVID effects turned from what she thought was a “mild bout” into “something much more serious overnight.”

After thanking her doctor Albert Recio “for acting urgently and arresting a possible paralysis,” she detailed how she first felt that something was different in her motor skills and then knew it was affecting her brain. “It’s like nothing I’d ever experienced before,” she wrote.

“Doc urgently prescribed me the exact meds I needed at exactly the right time and by anticipating the progress of COVID in my body, he put me on the road to recovery,” added KC.

“It’s my 6th day today since first onset of symptoms and I am still weak but regaining strength slowly but surely,” she continued, saying she’s “forever indebted” to her doctor for saving her life.

In a separate story, KC shared a barefaced, unfiltered selfie and expressed her profound appreciation for life. She also called on her followers to stay safe and reminded them that COVID-19 is “not like the flu” but “a whole different animal.”

“Try your best to live your healthiest lives and let’s enjoy what life has to offer. Mahal ko kayo,” she concluded.

KC has three more shooting days left in New York for Hollywood film Asian Persuasion. She replaced Toni Gonzaga as the main actress of the Asian-American project due to “schedule conflicts.”
