Neri and Chito Miranda's firstborn son Miggy already has a condo unit under his name at the age of five.
In an Instagram post Feb. 17, Neri said she's been saving up Miggy's earnings from past endorsements, with his very first talent fee from a baby product as initial payment for the unit.
"[I]nipon ko ang money nya para makapag invest at mapagkakitaan pa rin," Neri wrote. "Para habang bata pa, may negosyo na siya," adding that she and Chito will teach their children how to be "financially literate" as early as now.
"I think ayun ang dapat matutunan nating lahat kahit nung bata pa lang tayo eh," the 36-year-old mother noted. "Pero it's not too late sa atin kahit anong edad pa tayo. Ang mahalaga, nagsisimula na tayo," followed by a black heart emoji.
Miggy's one-bedroom condo unit, Neri said, is located near two popular malls in Quezon City.
She recalled that she bought the unit while it was still on its pre-selling stage.
"Nagsstart palang maglakad si Miggy nun. May nag abot lang ng flyer sa akin sa SM The Block, kinuha ko naman habang buhat buhat ko si Miggy nun," Neri said.
Para habang bata pa, may negosyo na siya. Tuturuan namin ang mga bata na maging financially literate.
A few years later, it's set to become a full-blown condo unit by next month.
"By March matatapos na ang Miggy's Condo! Yahoooooo!" Neri said. "Kaya excited na akong maparentahan, hehe! Para ipon ulit, next project naman sana, if may pasok sa budget."
Neri said they hired Grupo Santa Maria to design the unit's interiors. It will also be rented out for short-term stays, she noted.
"Daily ang rent, since ipina ayos talaga namin ang condo... parang nagstay ka na rin sa hotel pero mas affordable," she said, noting that its earnings would go straight to Miggy's bank account.
"Update ko kayo soon kung kailan pwede nang marentahan," Neri concluded her post, followed by the hashtags #MiggysCondo, #WaisNaBata, and #PamilyaWais.
Neri has been married to Chito, frontman of OPM band Parokya ni Edgar, since December 2014. Aside from Miggy, they also have another son, Cash, and an adopted daughter, Pia.
