Tracy Maureen Perez posted a heartfelt message of thanks to family and friends who have been supporting her throughout her Miss World Philippines journey.

More than a week after she passed on the crown to her successor Gwendolyne Furniol, Perez reminiced her final walk as Miss World Philippines and penned a thank-you message to her supporters.

"Reminiscing my final walk as Miss World Philippines 2021 — I couldn’t really feel anything else but pure gratitude first of all to the Lord above for granting me my dream of representing our country, of celebrating my Mommy Chona’s life, of representing the struggles of the single moms like her and those of their families, and lastly of leaving my own little mark in ways that I never imagined would be possible," she wrote.

Perez said that she is "so so thankful" to the people who stood by her side "during some of the most stressful yet the most fulfilling moments of my life."

She started thanking her family members for giving her the strength and will "to fight the battles that I constantly try to overcome everyday in my life."

"It’s never easy, I have a lot of pain and shortcomings but please know that I always do my best, thank you for not giving up on me. I love you guys so much," Perez added.

The beauty queen also thanked her friends who still make an effort to reach out to her even if they rarely talk.

She said: "I just know in my heart that I can count on you guys no matter what. Thank you gyud kaayu. Lablab always."

Perez also named her friends in Manila who made her feel at home and for always looking after her and her mental health.

She also thanked her boyfriend Jorel for loving her "despite all the toyo" and the challenges.

"Thank you for not getting tired of me and for being my number 1 support system, I love you," she told her boyfriend.

And finally, she thanked her team for believing in her potential.

"Thank you for always choosing me and our family. I wouldn’t have achieved this milestone if not for you guys. I owe it all to you. I love you all," she wrote, ending her post with "to be continued".

Perez crowned her successor Furniol last June 5 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

She previously represented the Philippines in the 70th Miss World competition, where she she won the Beauty with a Purpose competition. Her Beauty with a Purpose project "Para kay Nanay" provides opportunities for single mothers.

Perez ended her Miss World bid as one of the Top 13 finalists.
