BLACKPINK will be back with a new album in August and the ‘largest world tour’

BLACKPINK is finally returning to the music scene after one year and 10 months. 

In a statement from YG Entertainment per YTN, BLACKPINK is currently in the final stages of their comeback preparations. The girl group will start filming their music video within the month and will drop their much-awaited album in August. 

“A lot of music that is BLACKPINK-esque has been completed with much effort over a long period of time,” YG Entertainment’s statement read.

The music label also announced that BLACKPINK is set to go on the “largest-scale world tour in K-pop girl group history” until the end of the year. Additional details about the tour are yet to be revealed.

Big projects to connect with fans are set to be unveiled as well. 

BLACKPINK is composed of four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The girl group debuted in August 2016 with the tracks Whistle and Boombayah

The group’s upcoming album marks their first release in almost two years since they dropped their first full album The Album in October 2020.
