Robi Domingo engaged to non-showbiz girlfriend after four years of dating

Robi Domingo is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend. 

In a video shared by entertainment journalist MJ Felipe on Twitter on Friday, Nov. 4, the TV host can be seen popping the question to the love of his life Maiqui Pineda in Tokyo’s famous Shibuya district, to which the latter blissfully said yes.

The pair is on a vacation in Japan alongside their families as well as their good friends in the showbiz industry, including Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Ria Atayde, Zanjoe Marudo, and Joshua Garcia. 

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Robi let slip that he was supposed to propose to his significant other in New York but decided to push through with it in Tokyo instead “due to schedule conflicts and other factors.”

Robi and Maiqui, who were college batchmates at the Ateneo de Manila University, dated for four years prior to their engagement. He confirmed their romance in 2018.
