Embroiled in controversy, Kanye "Ye" West said he's taking a break from speaking, alcohol, and sex.

The rapper took to Twitter to announce his "fast," saying that he's "talking to nooobody for a month." But speaking isn't the only thing he's swearing off.

"I'm taking a 30-day cleanse, a verbal fast. No alcohol, no adult films, no intercourse," he said, adding that his "Twitter still lit," which might mean he'll still be active on social media.

In October, Ye faced controversies over racist and anti-Semitic remarks. This led to Adidas terminating its partnership with the rapper and West losing his billionaire status. Gap also removed Yeezy items from its stores after the end of the partnership. He was also restricted from Instagram for anti-Semitic comments.

Despite his "fasting" post, Ye continued to be active on Twitter, even rallying behind basketball star Kyrie Irving who the Brooklyn Nets have suspended over his anti-Semitic posts.

The Grammy-winning artist refused to apologize for his anti-Semitic rants during an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored. He also said he was only "sorry for the people I hurt."

Reacting to Ye's 30-day cleanse, users on Twitter compared it to "No Nut November," an internet challenge where netizens are encouraged to give up masturbation for an entire month.

"Bro wrote a haiku about no nut November," one user wrote.

"Bro really said f*ck no nut November, I'm taking it a step further," another commented.
