WATCH: Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel goes shopping at Divisoria
Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel didn't let the scorching heat stop her from enjoying a trip to Divisoria.
The Fil-Am beauty queen took to Instagram to share a video of her shopping adventure in the Manila hub where she picked up some fabrics.
"I actually used to come here a lot when I was a kid visiting the Philippines," R'Bonney said. "I always remember coming to buy like Juicy Couture purses and different clothing."
In the video, we see R'Bonney shopping for different fabrics and threats as well as talking to vendors in Filipino.
"How much po ito?" she's heard saying in the clip. "Okay, salamat po."
In addition to Divisoria, the Miss Universe 2022 queen also took a trip to Abad Santos, which she went to by riding a tricycle in the heat.
Some users on Instagram wrote about how amazed they were that the beauty queen was able to handle the Manila heat.
"Funnnn ❤️❤️❤️," commented Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez.
"Wow I can not imagine the heat? How can you handle it, queen?" another said.
"She is from Texas. She knows a little bit about hot weather in the summer," wrote one user.
R'Bonney is in the Philippines this April and said that she plans to stay in the country for a while."This is my first time coming for a longer period of time. I have been wanting to live here. There's so much for me to learn," she told 24 Oras.
While she's in the country, the Fil-Am beauty hopes to learn to cook Filipino dishes and brush up on her Tagalog.
She will also be hosting the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night on May 22.
Aside from being a beauty queen, R'Bonney studied fashion with a minor in fibers at the University of North Texas. She has her own label, R'Bonney Nola, which uses sustainable materials to make eco-friendly clothing.
