Shaira Diaz and EA Guzman shared how grateful they are for being able to inspire others with their decision to remain celibate until marriage.

The couple shared more about their career and relationship in a sit-down interview with content creator and talent manager Ogie Diaz.

ICYMI, the two first revealed their engagement and celibacy journey in February. Later on, they shared how it further helped them realize its significance after receiving positive reactions from the public.

Shaira added that they didn't think they would become an inspiration to others with their story.

The host-actress also shared that the homily made them realize the significance of being celibate before marriage, stressing that “one’s body is sacred.”

Hindi, kasi sex is sacred. Your body is sacred. So dapat hindi siya basta basta ganon kadali ibigay sa iba,’” she said.

She, however, emphasized that she has nothing against those who engage in premarital sex.

“I have nothing against them kung ayun ang desisyon nila kasi katawan naman nila ‘yan,” she continued, adding, “Sobra lang din ‘yung will ko, ‘yung paniniwala ko kay Jesus ‘yung mga tinuturo niya sa atin bible kaya ganito kami ngayon.”

The two shared that they are set to get married in 2026.

“Naniniwala kami sa Feng Shui. Kapag nagpakasal kami ng 2025, medyo magulo ‘yung relationship namin as mag-asawa,” EA explained. “Ayaw naman namin nu’n.”

He added that since Shaira is set to graduate from school this 2024, they are opting to get married in 2026 instead. “Ayaw namin madaliin ‘yung mga bagay-bagay.”

For her part, Shaira expressed her gratitude to EA for not letting her feel pressured when it comes to their relationship.

The pair first met in 2012 and began dating a year later. In February, they revealed that they have been engaged since 2021.
