The wait is almost over, EXO-Ls! EXO is finally making a comeback after three years.

According to the Soompi report on Friday, June 9, the group's agency SM Entertainment confirmed to local media outlet Xportnews the official release date of the K-pop group's seventh album.

“EXO’s seventh full album will be released on July 10. We have prepared very hard for this, and the album promotion schedule will proceed as planned. The detailed schedule will be released soon,” the statement read.

Early this month, three members of the group—Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Xiumin (CBX)—made headlines about their legal dispute with their agency, citing reasons for unfair terms within their contracts and the issue of lack of transparency about their earnings for over a decade of their careers as an idol.

Despite the issue, CBX will still join the upcoming comeback, saying they “value [the rest of the] EXO members.” Kai, who enlisted in the military in May is also expected to take part in the upcoming comeback.

“More than anything, we value our EXO members. Half our lives have been spent sharing joys and sorrows with our members. We would never betray these members and will prioritize EXO in any situation,” they wrote in a previous statement.

Their upcoming comeback comes two years after they released their EP Don’t Fight the Feeling in 2021, and three years since they dropped their latest full album EXO PLANET #5 - EXplOration in 2020.

Aside from their full album comeback, the group also gears for their reality show as announced by SM Entertainment on June 8. Further details including its release date have yet to be revealed.

EXO debuted in 2012. It is composed of members D.O., Kai, Sehun, Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Xiumin, and Chen. One of their hit songs are Growl, Love Me Right, and Love Shot, among others.
